This is a general feature ticket to be the mother of all the tickets involved in dealing with the fallout of pacific.mpi-cbg.de dying on us.
It includes tickets resolved during beta 7. For tickets resolved later see ticket #1906.

(In #1040) This just became more important, as pacific.mpi-cbg.de is no longer the server backing fiji.sc.

All constituent tickets have been resolved for this beta. Closing feature.
(In #1728) I thought it might be a good idea to split the accounts by tasks.
So there was the account to deal with Git repositories, the account to deal with the user statistics of the website, and the account to deal with copying the javadocs back from the Jenkins job.
If you agree that this made sense, please add different accounts again.
