By "plugin" do you mean NetBeans module extending its functionality? Because an ImageJ plugin should slot in seamlessly to the Envisaje interface without any special treatment.

A 'Plugin' in the context of Envisage is based on the imagej.plugin mechanism and may take advantage of NB Platform functionality, so an example would show how to do this.

Envisaje is shelved for the foreseeable future.
The Envisaje project is on hold until we have an beta version of ImageJ2 usable by Fiji. Envisaje-related tickets are being pushed to the imagej-2.5 milestone.
