Farsight doesn't handle non-8bit unsigned pixel type images

Description
When non-8bit unsigned pixel type images are opened in Farsight, only a blank image is displayed. This occurs with and without Bio-Formats enabled.
To test: add pixel value probing to mouse-over in Farsight to determine if the pixels are truly blank or not.

Clarification: although the image is blank, there are valid pixel values (the test image opened was an image with a dark to light gradient, and this gradient was properly represented in the pixel values... it just wasn't displayed)
