Merge maven branch to trunk

Description

The loci-java:source:branches/maven branch needs to be merged to loci-java:source:trunk. There will be some disruption, but it will force us to solve any remaining issues, and avoid further forking of the codebase.

Bio-Formats was migrated out of the LOCI Software SVN repository. For the remaining projects (VisBio, SLIM Plotter, etc.), the Maven versions were brought over to trunk.
