Description (last modified by curtis)
Michael Cammer points out:
The new W&L adjustment window does not show a histogram and moving the sliders does nothing. Also, it says that it requires an 8 bit or RGB image. However, closing the window made the Brightness and Contrast reset to both be 100. Shouldn't the W&L window be the top part of the B&C window?
The IJ1 Window & Level command does not work correctly in ImageJ2, since it is an interactive command. We need a pure IJ2 version of W&L.

I would like to better understand the difference between Window/Level and Brightness/Contrast. Playing in the ImageJ1 UI, they seem identical (math-wise) to me. I only played with 8-bit images though... perhaps the behavior differs in certain cases only? Let's look at the source!

We are no longer supporting use of ImageJ 1.x commands from modern ImageJ2 UIs. This plugin works fine in the legacy ImageJ 1.x UI, and adding it to ImageJ2 is not urgent.
