Refactor the script editor to allow for a jvi backend

Description
Now that the Script Editor will not need a JEditSyntaxTextArea-based minimal backend (see ticket #811), it is a lower priority to teach the Script Editor to accept different backends, such as jvi ( http://jvi.sourceforge.net/).

While I personally would love jVi support in the Script Editor, it is not a realistic priority right now.
