Once the licensing change (see PR 55 and ticket #100) for SCIFIO et. al is in effect, we can update downstream non-GPL projects accordingly, including VisAD and ITK.

Unfortunately, there are currently too many higher-priority ImageJ2-related tasks, so this work will have to wait until we have more VisAD-based functionality within ImageJ2. See also ticket #101.

Matt McCormick of Kitware visited Madison for an ITK mini-hackathon. The result is a patch pending to get the Bio-Formats ITK plugin (now called "SCIFIO ImageIO") into ITK core.
