After the beta1 release in the imagej mail list Leon Espinosa reported:
The IJ1 macro record doesn't work and the IJ2 says strange commands :

I am afraid that fixing macro recording might be out of the question for the next beta.

In the ImageJ mailing list Rob van 't Hof reported this issue with beta 3:
"When running the macro recorder, the program regularly hangs after a certain amount of time. haven't figured out what causes it. Also the macro recorder does not seem to record much"

open boats
draw an overlay
start recording
open Tools > Roi Manager
choose Fill
the script editor window is filled with such stuff as Leon reported
