In the imagej devel mailing list Albert Cardona reported:
Shift-click on a canvas maximizes the image window. Is this a feature or an error?

Zoom drag threshold is 8 or more pixels. At that point it zooms the window to fit. I'm not sure if this is what Albert ran into. Still need instructions for duplication. Closing for now.

Albert, I am having some difficulty reproducing this situation. Can you tell me how to reproduce? What tool icon is active when you have the problem. If it is the zoom tool note that it has a facility where you can drag a rectangle and it will zoom to fit. If you clicked and dragged a little the image could zoom in a lot.
