Description
VisAD is a mature Java visualization platform and has good potential for use within ImageJ as an alternative (Java3D-based) rendering engine for images. I started on a generic VisAD-based image viewer on the visad-viewer branch.

There is also the imagej/visad-plugin project. But realistically it cannot be a priority any time soon. There will come a time when we want to port additional VisBio functionality to gain access to some of the visualizations it can do. Until then, this ticket must be closed as wontfix due to lack of time.
