Hi Mark,
If you will be able to gain control in the Fiji environment, there are actually
2 sides to the problem. You can see the stack dump attachments I included.

Case 1 is activating the plugin from >> "More tools". This is the one which
causes the EDT crash which you caught. The attachment "Install from more" shows
the stack dump which runs correctly under ImageJ.

Case 2 doesn't result in any crash, but it doesn't do the correct thing in
Fiji. Instead of installing the tool, Fiji just runs it. Again the attachment
"Install from plugin tools" shows the stack dump which runs correctly under
ImageJ. Apparently Fiji follows a different route in its execution of the
command and the question is: what causes it to deviate from the correct path?

I still haven't managed to set up a Fiji debug environment, so I can't check
it. If you can somehow check it, it would be a great help.
